Vick Can't Catch a Break - Canadians File Retarded Lawsuit

I really hate how much publicity the whole Vick thing has gotten, but I had to post this. It's not so much that Vick's getting screwed by more people than Paris Hilton these days that makes it interesting, but more that I just don't understand how this lawsuit makes sense.

Apparently, the Royal Bank of Canada wants Mike to pay back the 2.3 mil he borrowed for "real estate investments". (I could make a joke about it being for "dog houses" here, but that would just be lame, wouldn't it? Yeah, I thought so.) Their reasoning for the suit?

The Toronto-based bank...is arguing that Vick's guilty plea on federal dogfighting charges and the resulting impact on his career have prevented him from repaying money he borrowed.

So you want him to pay back the money he borrowed from you because now that he lost his job... he can't pay it back??? Umm...eh?

What is there to understand? If you borrow money based on the fact that you are rich and then it turns out you will not be as rich as you claimed they want the money back. They are asking for the money they gave him back. If he hasn't pissed it all away he should be able to do it. It's not like Vick is flat broke. He could sell one of his mutli million dollar houses if he was really tapped out.

Gotta say I entirely disagree with the Biotch on this one. The lawsuit method is one of the only means for the banks to recoup their investment in Vick before his assets get consumed by others (defense attorneys, for instance).

Just saw that Vick just got sued by a second bank. Sucks to be him.

Wow! That's hysterical.

"Mike please pay us before you pay your attorney and the Falcons." -Thanks. Royal Bank of Canada.

P.S. We want the isotoner gloves that came with opening your account back too.
