You just can't make this stuff up. This is exactly why some athletes should have blogs instead of talking to reporters. That way they can at least read over their work. So they can make sure they don't do silly things like, you know, use "your" instead of "you're", mispronounce someone's last name, or accidentally say that they like to have their asses hammered by their teammates.
"You want to get that one big hit where you feel like you're part of the team,'' Stairs said. "Not that I don't feel like I'm part of the team, by no means, but when you get that nice celebration coming into the dugout and you're getting your ass hammered by guys, it's no better feeling than to have that done.''Major props to David Murray at the Philadelphia Daily News, who slyly tacked this lovely little quote onto the end of his article, as if it was no big deal. Very nice.
Special thanks to Mr. Rofman for passing this on, despite knowing full well that the Biotch would spread the word about the, um, not-so-straight tendencies of his team.
